Who looks at your result?
A plain answer, with the qualification attached.
Every Elixir Health panel is reviewed by a GMC-registered clinician before you act on it. A phlebotomist takes the sample and explains the printed result in the room; the doctor reviews the panel, and any result outside the expected range is referred to them rather than answered with a product. Most private blood tests are sold without a doctor at all, or with one charged separately after the fact.
What the review is
The doctor sees the whole panel — every marker, the reference ranges used, and the two things that change how a result is read: whether you had eaten, and whether it was taken before midday. Results outside the range are referred; you hear within one working day.
What it is not
It is not a consultation, and it is not a diagnosis. It is a clinician confirming that a measurement is being read against the right range and that the right thing happens next.
Why the law requires it as well
Storing a blood result is storing special-category health data. UK data protection law permits that for a private provider only where the processing sits under the responsibility of a professional bound by professional secrecy. A phlebotomist is not one. A doctor is. The clinician is not a nice-to-have on top of the service; without one, your record could not lawfully exist.
Elixir Health is a point-of-care measurement service. Samples are analysed at the venue and never sent to a laboratory. A single measurement on a single day is not a diagnosis. Elixir is not a clinic or a pharmacy. 18+.
